What it is made of
Solid bamboo. Bamboo is technically a grass, and it grows dense enough to machine like a hardwood while staying considerably lighter - which is why the box feels substantial without being heavy to lift down from a shelf. It also resists moisture better than most timbers, which matters wherever tea is kept.
How it works
Fixed compartments divide the interior, so contents stay separated instead of sliding into one heap when the box is carried. Wipe clean with a dry cloth - bamboo does not want to be soaked, and it does not need to be.
